May 2: California Fresh Dinner: California Cuisine is a style that is a fusion unique styles. It is integrating disparate cooking styles and ingredients. But it always includes the use of freshly prepared and sourced ingredients. The food is typically prepared with strong attention to presentation. Foods low in saturated fats and high in fresh vegetables and fruits with lean meats and seafood from the coast often define the style. What is nouvelle cuisine? In a word, it is the  marriage of health-conscious California to traditional French Cuisine. Consider it an updated version of French cuisine. Flavorful food with a light-handed, healthy approach. Dinner is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity and includes one glass each of the suggested wines. Additional wine is available on our wine list. Wine-thirty at 6:30 and sit down for dinner at 7:00pm.

 

Aperitif: Vidalia Onion and Local Goat Cheese Tart, Glass of Beechwood Inn Wine

Appetizer: Chilled Avocado, Fresh Lime, Cucumber and Buttermilk Soup, Glass of Wine

Salad: Pickled Spring Vegetables, Fresh Fruit and Organic Micro-Greens with Orange Blossom Vinaigrette and EVOO, Gayle’s Sour Dough Bread with Local Creamery Butter

Intermezzo: Fresh Fruit Sorbet

Entrée: Duck Two Ways – Seared Organic Duck Breast and Braised Shallots, Duck Confit with Warm Mirin Glaze, Steamed Fresh Spring Vegetables, Charleston Gold Laurel Aged Rice, Glass of Wine

Dessert: Gayle’s Osage Strawberry Rhubarb Tart with Vanilla Cream

Fresh Brewed Coffee and Herb Teas

Fine Dining in North Georgia at Beechwood Inn. Beechwood Inn offers fine dining in North Georgia almost every Saturday featuring Chef’s Tasting Dinners paired to fine wines. Each menu is pre-selected by our chefs based on what is seasonal and available that day. Most of our seasonal foods are organic and natural, many from sustainable North Georgia farms, orchards, dairies and vineyards. Due to the special nature of our foods advance reservations are needed.
