May 11 – Mother’s Day Eve Herb Dinner: With warmer spring weather we are offering some seasonally inspired dishes that are farm fresh. At the Beechwood Inn we celebrate local ingredients and include as many as we can. Our recipes present us with the opportunity to use the most flavorful produce, meats, and cheeses in our region. Fresh herbs are shooting up in our garden so we have gone to our herb cookbooks to find some wonderful spring recipes. At the Beechwood Inn you will see our chefs tending their herbs and often clipping them moments before our guests arrive. Herbs appear in almost every dish for the inn’s 5 course dinners. We have paired this meal to some wonderful wines that offer some nice herbal aromas and tastes. Dinner is $89 per person, plus tax and gratuity and includes one glass each of the suggested wines. Additional wine is available on our wine list. Wine-thirty at 6:30 and sit down for dinner at 7:00pm.

Beechwood Inn offers fine dining in North Georgia almost every Saturday featuring Chef’s Tasting Dinners paired to fine wines. Each menu is pre-selected by our chefs based on what is seasonal and available that day. Most of our seasonal foods are organic and natural, many from sustainable North Georgia farms, orchards, dairies and vineyards. Due to the special nature of our foods advance reservations are needed.
Aperitif: Jumbo Shrimp Tempura with Gingered Fennel Pickle Remoulade, Glass of Beechwood Inn Wine
Appetizer: Anson Mills Baked Grit Cake with Smoked Prosciutto, Local Shiitake Mushrooms and Spicy Sauce and Fresh Garden Herbs 2017 Domaine Delsol, Picpoul de Pinet, Languedoc, France
Salad: Herbed Fresh Vegetable Pickles with Organic Micro-Greens and Lavender Honey Vinaigrette, Gayle’s Sour Dough Bread with Local Creamery Butter
Entrée: Seared Rice Flour Crusted Pike (or other seasonal white fish), Roasted Spring Vegetables, Charleston Gold Laurel Aged Rice, Smoked Tomato, Glass of Wine
Dessert: Fresh Osage Farm Strawberry Trifle with Vanilla Cream, Fresh Spearmint, Fresh Brewed Coffee and Herb Teas
