But there’s a number of new and relaunched shops that we think everyone should check out.

Outdoor 76 in Clayton GAOutdoor 76, 104 N. Main St. – The Clayton store is newest addition to this outdoor outfitting retailer based in Franklin, NC. This shop features a hands-on customer service style run by outdoor enthusiasts for outdoor enthusiasts. From hiking & camping gear and apparel to rock climbing and kayaking necessities, Outdoor 76 caters to adventurers of all skill levels and truly follows their mission statement:  Outdoor 76 is a team of outdoor lifestyle specialists committed to excellence in sales, service and selection of outdoor lifestyle needs.



Cage Free Boutique Clayton GACage-Free Boutique, 55 N. Main St. – Just recently moving to its more spacious location, this unique boutique of stylish women’s and men’s apparel, giftware and accessories carries a little something for everyone on your gift list. Additionally housed upstairs is the new event center, Soiree on Main where visitors can attend craft workshops and special scheduled events. Or the event space also available for private rentals.


Blue Ridge Toys, 45 N. Main St. – Where Play is a Way of Life and they mean it. Featuring iconic wooden blocks, trucks, cars, dolls, dinosaurs, board games, books, stuffed animals, arts & crafts and so much more, there’s bound to be something in this shop that delights any kid (young or old!) Old fashioned personal service is one of their hallmarks too, so stop in and play awhile!



wander North Georgia and Beechwood InnWander North Georgia, 33 N. Main St. – This truly one-of-a-kind venture defies description but demands an audience. Part outdoor store, part nature blog and total social connection for like-minded sojourners, Wander North Georgia appeals to nature enthusiasts, foodies, craft beer connoisseurs, and fun seekers of all ages. The store carries camping, hiking and fishing gear for sure but there’s also a Bocce Ball court, and ice cream counter and weekly workshops on everything from fly fishing to calligraphy. And their website is chock full of useful guides to outdoor locales, events and eateries. Check them out online or in person.
