Beechwood Inn Innkeepers make several varieties of wine from Georgia grown grapes. The wines are available for sale at the inn; sorry we cannot ship. Here is what we usually have available:
Chardonnay: Made without malo-lactic conversion, this wine is mostly unoaked and offers great acidity. The aromas include lemon, grapefruit, apple-skin and limestone. The flavor is bright with crisp grapefruit and lemon.
Viognier: This wine usually goes through malo-lactic conversion and is left on the lees for several months. It gets a long creamy finish with moderate acidity and a nice floral and yeasty aroma, with some jasmine and honeysuckle flavors. $20.00
2013 Traminette .……SOLD OUT…………….….Hints of rose petal and lime on the nose lead to rich lime, tangerine flavors with a hint of apricot. Crisp off dry citrusy finish. $20.00
Sangiovese: Light bodied offering fresh raspberry, strawberry and hints of cedar. Nice maraschino cherry finish. $20.00
Cabernet Sauvignon: Fined but never filtered this wine offers rich color and flavor. Rich black cherry, toasty oak, hint of ripe blackberry and blueberry. $20.00
Daily Wine-Thirty: For inn-guests we offer daily wine tastings. Each day we have “Wine-Thirty” with our guests starting at 5:30pm (6:30 Saturdays). We offer a complimentary glass of our Beechwood Inn Wines made from local Georgia grapes.
