Aug 31: Farm to Table Dinner: Join us Labor Day weekend at Beechwood Inn. Come share with Beechwood Inn’s Culinary Team.  Dinner is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity and includes one glass (4 ounces) each of the suggested wines. For reservations contact Beechwood Inn at (706) 782-5485.  Please let us know of dietary restrictions at least 48 hours in advance. Wine-thirty starts at 6:30 and diners will be seated for dinner at 7:00pm.


Aperitif: Fresh Smoked Trout Cakes with Fennel Pickle Remoulade, Glass of Beechwood Inn Wine

Appetizer:  Homemade Herb Pasta with Arugula Pesto with Herb Oil – Glass of Wine

Appetizer:  Lemon Pickled Shrimp with Fresh Herbs and Fresh Avocado, Glass of Wine

Salad: Herbed Vegetable Pickles, Fresh Shallots, with Organic Micro Greens and Aged Sherry Vinaigrette with EVOO, Gayle’s Sour Dough Bread with Local Butter

Entrée: Arista – Local Pork Tenderloin with Moorish Pesto, Silver Queen Corn and Lima Bean Confetti, Glass of Wine

Dessert: Fresh Peach Crisp with Home-Made Vanilla-Bean Ice Cream

Beechwood Inn, Clayton GA: We don’t want to toot our own horn so here is a review by Travel Writer Meagan Martz “Afriendafar:” Yes, let’s talk about the food! . . . This was quite possibly the best meal that we have ever had. It was, by far, the most well thought out meal that we have ever been served. Between each course, Chef David Darugh walked us all through the ingredients. We learned about the local farmers who grew the micro-greens in our salad and raised the pigs for the house-made fennel sausage; we even learned the history of Laurel-Aged Charleston Gold Rice. Each wine pairing was excellent . . . We shared a table with another couple, and they were equally impressed with such a fine dining experience outside of the City.
